The scene we cut
The school run
The school run. Harvey Keitel drops the kids off and gets on with his morning.
Keitel took the part after Christopher Walken dropped out and shot the whole film in around three weeks. Ferrara has said most of what Keitel does in it was improvised on the day, and Keitel has called it the film that changed his life.
