The scene we cut
The teahouse
The teahouse. Two guns, a toothpick, and the shootout every action director has been copying for thirty years.
The teahouse was a real restaurant in Hong Kong that had already closed down, so the crew were allowed to destroy it completely. The two pistol stair slide has been copied so often it has its own name in Hong Kong action circles, and Woo shot the sequence with real squibs and thousands of blanks.
