The scene we cut
The liquor store
"Went to the store to get a beer. Came out an accessory to murder and armed robbery." The opening scene.
The brothers wanted Tupac Shakur for the role of Sharif and cast him before falling out on set and firing him. The opening liquor store scene was the first thing they shot, and the studio nearly pulled the film after seeing it.
