The scene we cut
The bench press
The quietest superhero reveal in cinema history. No cape, no CGI, just a bench press and his son watching.
Shyamalan structured the entire film like the first issue of a comic book, and it launched a trilogy nobody saw coming until Split arrived 16 years later.
